Jamie Lee Curtis has a direct message for everyone discussing the ongoing wildfires tearing across Los Angeles County.
While her home potentially lies in the path, she has no idea if it's still standing, though she and her family were all able to reach a safe location.
"My community and possibly my home is on fire...Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well," she wrote in a new statement posted to Instagram on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

The actress shared a photo taken during the chaos by photojournalist Ethan Swope, which appeared to show the charred remnants of a Christmas tree centered in the middle of three shattered windows of a home otherwise completely engulfed in flame.
Alongside the heart-stopping snapshot, she strongly encouraged anyone discussing the catastrophe to only "post facts," emphasizing her point in all caps. "There are so many conflicting reports. With all the technology there seems to be very little information," she wrote.
"It is a terrifying situation and I'm grateful to the firefighters and all of the good Samaritans who are helping people get out of the way of the blaze," she continued. "Neighbors have taken care of neighbors."
One such neighbor is Steve Guttenberg, who assisted the fire department by moving abandoned cars out of the roadway to help them access stranded residents.
"We ALL take everything for granted because we are all living our lives but when it hits your community, it's particularly shocking," Curtis continued, calling it "Life on life's terms."
She concluded with a word of advice, suggesting everyone "take care of each other" and stand back to "let the firefighters do their work."
"Pray if you believe in it and even if you don't, pray for those who do," she added.
