Stand-up comedian and actor Mo Amer will kick off a new nationwide stand-up tour beginning in February.
“So much has happened since my last tour, and I can’t wait to get back to stand-up and feel the energy of the audience for a proper group therapy session,” said Amer in a press release.
The tour will make its sole Southern California stop at the Wiltern in Los Angeles on Sunday, April 13. Presale tickets, including the artist presale, begin on Wednesday, Jan. 8. Tickets for general admission will go on sale on Friday, Jan. 10, at 10 a.m. at LiveNation.com.
According to the official description of the tour, “Mo Amer: El Oso Palestino,” Spanish for “The Palestinian Bear,” will cover “life, family, and his journey as a new dad in today’s political climate, all delivered with his signature humor and perspective.”

News of the tour comes just a few weeks before the Jan. 30 premiere of the second season of “Mo,” Amer’s comedy-drama on Netflix. The series is loosely based on Amer’s life as a Palestinian refugee living in Houston while seeking asylum and citizenship in the U.S. The show earned Amer a Peabody Award in 2023. The comic also has two stand-up specials, “The Vagabond” and “Mohammed in Texas,” streaming on the platform.
Amer also co-starred in the Hulu show “Ramy,” created by actor and comedian Ramy Youssef. The series depicts the cultural experiences of American Muslims, which earned Youssef a Golden Globe Award and Peabody Award in 2020. In the show, Amer plays Ramy’s cousin, who owns and operates a diner where many of the characters congregate. He also costarred alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the DC comic blockbuster “Black Adam.”
