Country Rescue actor Keller Fornes has died. He was 32.
According to an obituary published by Lacy Funeral Home, Fornes was born in Lubbock, Texas, on April 22, 1992. He earned a bachelor's degree at the University of North Texas before moving to the East Coast to pursue an entertainment career.
He died on Thursday, Dec. 19, in Eastland, Texas.

Fornes wrote, directed and produced several independent films, fronted a rock band and made appearances in bigger projects, including an episode of Homicide Hunter (2018), The Walking Dead (2022), Origin (2023) and Found (2024). He eventually found success portraying Griffin in several episodes of Great American Family's County Rescue. He was expected to reprise the role in the second season of the TV medical drama, per a July 2024 news release.
"We at Great American Media are deeply saddened by the passing of Keller Fornes. He was a special person and talent as an actor, writer, and director as well as a singer and musician," the network wrote in a statement shared via Instagram on Monday, Jan. 6.

"His energy and enthusiasm lifted all he worked with here at Great American Media and the cast and crew of County Rescue. Our prayers are with his family and all those he touched," the touching tribute concluded.
Several of Fornes' co-stars mourned the devastating loss in the comments, with Lauren Swickard writing, "I am forever grateful for his friendship. What an honor it was to work with him. What a wonderful person we’ve lost. ? ?."
"Was so saddened to hear about this," added American Idol alum Colton Dixon. "We only met briefly during my work on County Rescue, but he was incredibly kind and purposeful with his words. Prayers for his friends and family."
Candace Cameron Bure kept it simple, sharing only a heartbroken and praying emoji, "???."
"❤️ We shared time camaraderie and laughter," singer-songwriter Korby Lenker fondly recalled. "Heart broken to hear this news ?."
Further information about Fornes' death, like its cause, was not immediately made public.
