The 23-year-old India National Cricket Team left-handed opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal played a stunning knock in the Test series opener against the England National Cricket Team.
Day 1 of the first Test of the five-match series between Team India and Team England is currently underway on Friday, June 20, at Headingley in Leeds.

Jaiswal has once again shown why he is regarded as the next big thing in Indian cricket. He batted exceptionally well in the ongoing Test match against the Three Lions and hit a sensational century.
Jaiswal looked excellent in the middle from the very start, and he was untroubled while facing the England bowlers - Chris Woakes, Josh Tongue, Brydon Carse, Ben Stokes, and Shoaib Bashir.
Yashasvi Jaiswal first stitched up a 91-run opening partnership with KL Rahul, and after his dismissal, didn't lose focus and kept batting with the same intent. Jaiswal reached the half-century milestone off 96 balls, and then he completed his century off 144 balls.
He celebrated his century aggressively and looked relieved after achieving the three-figure feat because he had to battle some pain en route to his ton.
He was eventually dismissed in the 53rd over by Ben Stokes as his stumps were rattled by the all-rounder's ripper at the score of 101 runs off 159 balls, with 16 fours and 1 six.
Fans on X showered rich praise on the batter after his stellar batting show and labelled him as the biggest nightmare for England.
Here's how fans on X reacted to his ton:

— Samip Rajguru (@samiprajguru) June 20, 2025The best part of Jaiswal is he always seems to have the erase button fitted in his brain. He might get beaten outside off enough times. But if the next ball is there to be hit, he invariably makes it count. This salient features of his game will take him a long way in cricket.
