DENVER (KDVR) — A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day will be in effect Tuesday as snowfall moves into Denver's weather Monday night through Tuesday morning creating slick driving conditions.
Weather tonight: Snow showers, chilly
Monday night, snow showers will spread from higher to lower elevations.
Snow will not only become more widespread but accumulate overnight.
Winter weather advisories are set to start tonight and continue through Tuesday morning. Accumulating snowfall will lead to difficult driving conditions. If you have to drive on Tuesday morning, remember the slogan: "Ice and snow, take it slow!"
Weather tomorrow: Snow showers
On Tuesday, snow showers will continue through through the morning.
Between 2-4 inches of snowfall is expected before daybreak, with another inch or so falling through the morning drive. This will bring snowfall totals around the metro to 3-5 inches, with isolated areas near the foothills picking up pockets closer to 6-7 inches in total.

Looking ahead: More cold temperatures and snow chances
Wednesday will start off with a morning low in the single digits. Then, sunshine will warm temperatures up to the mid-30s, which is nearly 10 degrees below normal for this time of year, but still warm enough to help melt Tuesday's snow.
Thursday, temperatures will stay cool, only reaching a high in the mid-30s as another chance for snow moves in.
Snow wraps up by Friday, but leaves behind a sunny and chilly end to the week. Saturday, another chance for snow moves in late ahead of a cold and dry end to the weekend.
