Melissa McCarthy’s outrageous Golden Globes outfit caused 15-minute delay in getting to awards ceremony

MELISSA McCarthy wore an outrageously large cape to the Golden Globes that ended up causing a 15-minute delay getting to the red carpet.

The Bridesmaids and Gilmore Girls star, 54, looked striking in the pink ruffled outfit as she arrived at the awards ceremony with her husband Ben Falcone.

The actor, 51, admitted to reporters: “Getting her in the car took about 15 minutes.”

However, Melissa was thrilled with her Christian Siriano flared jumpsuit and cape that she teamed with towering heels.

“I’ve never had anyone be like, ‘I can’t see over you.’ I’m like, oh, I feel tall,” joked Melissa.

She was handing out a gong alongside her co-star from The Little Mermaid, Awkwafina.

The duo were praised by viewers as they presented Best TV Comedy Series.

Melissa recently impressed fans by revealing her new figure.

Despite claims she used the weight loss drug Ozempic, Melissa insists she lost more than five stone through diet and exercise.

However, fans were divided over Melissa’s bold outfit choice.

One said: “I love Melissa McCarthy but whoever dresses her should be fired immediately.”

Another added: “I would have liked to see Melissa McCarthy in something less voluminous…her figure now is so svelte. Still is beautiful, just wish she wore a gown with a sleek silhouette.”

Someone else said: “How many flamingos died to make Melissa McCarthy’s Golden Globes outfit?”

While another wrote: “Melissa McCarthy is so beautiful and hilarious.”
