An assailant stabbed a man in the back in a Colina del Sol alley Saturday then fled the scene.
The victim, 26, was standing in the east alley in the 4300 block of 51st Street shortly after 11 a.m. when an unknown suspect approached and stabbed him once in the upper back, San Diego police said in a news release.
Medics took the victim to a local hospital where doctors determined that his injury was non-life threatening. The man was unable to provide a description of the suspect.
Mid-City Division is handling the investigation.
