Kathie Lee Gifford is kicking off the new year with a candid confession about her love life.
The 71-year-old media personality shared the personal update to her Instagram grid along with a new photo of herself on Thursday, Jan. 2.

In the image accompanying the post, Gifford styled her blonde hair in voluminous curls and posed in front of a sculpture by herself, wearing a chic all-black ensemble that included a sparkly top, skinny jeans and knee-high black boots.
"I had hoped to find the man of my dreams on New Year’s Eve, but this is what I ended up with!" she quipped in the caption of her recent upload to the picture-sharing platform. "Hope you had a great one."

Fans reciprocated the festive well-wishes while rooting for the author in the comments, gushing over how fabulous she looked and reminding her she's "still got it."
"Happy New Year!" another wrote. "Don't give [up] hope as it'll happen when you least expect it!"
"You still look as pretty as ever!" someone else exclaimed.

Relationship woes aside, the Live! and Today show alum appeared to have a great time celebrating without the company of the man of her dreams.
"Thank you, Tom Morales (@tomfmorales) for having us at your hopping new restaurant @saffirerestaurant in @thefactoryatfranklin," she continued gushing in the caption, "You know how to throw a party."
The TV personality was married to Frank Gifford until he passed away in 2015. The two were together for 29 years and welcomed two children–Cody and Cassidy–before his death. She was also married to composer Paul Johnson from 1976 to 1983.
Since her late husband's passing almost a decade ago, The Baxters star has admitted to dating and even told Parade that she was open to finding love again. But given what's been said in this most recent update, she apparently hasn't found that special spark in anyone else just yet.
