American Pickers has cemented itself as a staple in reality television ever since its 2010 premiere on the History Channel, but is the show ending after 26 seasons?
Created by Mike Wolfe, American Pickers follows a team of antique "pickers" and history enthusiasts, including Frank Fritz and Danielle Colby, as they "scour the country for hidden gems in junkyards, basements, garages and barns, meeting quirky characters and hearing their amazing stories."

"There was this burning desire in me to be able to do it—to make something no one had ever made before," Wolfe said of creating the beloved series in a 2013 interview with Script. "To put fresh eyes on my world as a picker. To show another side of it. That was everything to me. But at the end of the day, it was all about the people I pick from—to give them a voice and to give the item a voice and showing the relationship there, showing an audience these places still exist and that there’s no such thing as a nobody."

American Pickers cast?
The main cast of American Pickers consists of Colby and Wolfe. Fritz was also on the cast from the show's 2010 premiere to 2020, when he left midway through Season 20. His exit was later confirmed by the network in 2021, per Entertainment Weekly.

"I’ve known Frank for more than half my life and what you’ve seen on TV has always been what I have seen, a dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny," Wolfe wrote in part in a statement via Instagram after Fritz's death. "The same off camera as he was on, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many by just being himself."
He added, "We’ve been on countless trips and shared so many miles and I feel blessed that I was there by his side when he took one last journey home. I love you buddy and will miss you so much I know you're in a better place."
American Pickers?
Rumors of a rift between the longtime friends began after fans noticed that Fritz stopped appearing on American Pickers in March 2020.
In July 2021, Fritz told The Sun that he hadn't spoken to Wolfe in two years, claiming that Wolfe "knew my back was messed up, but he didn’t call me up and ask how I was doing." He also alleged there was tension over their American Pickers fame.

That same month, Wolfe shared a message with fans stating that Fritz was leaving the show for good, and Colby spoke out about his exit.
“I’m truly saddened for the loss of Frank on the show,” she wrote via Instagram. “I’m incredibly sad for his struggles. I have personally watched everything over the last decade. I have many thoughts but won’t speak them as they are only my thoughts, not gospel. I wish things could have been different but we must be accountable for our actions when we cause instability or pain and suffering to others.”

Fritz then called Wolfe's statement about him leaving "bulls--t," which prompted Wolfe to speak out in a statement to The Sun about their friction.
"We all do care about Frank and we want him back on the show. I would love to talk with him again, we would absolutely love to, but he just can’t get it right," he said at the time, claiming, “Frank is just going through a lot personally with addictions. It’s unfortunate that he’s made decisions that have him the way he is."
More than a year after their public spat, Wolfe and Fritz reportedly reunited over Memorial Day weekend in May 2023 and hashed out their differences, according to The Quad-City Times.
