The key rule that Christine McGuinness and Paddy swear by to avoid ‘clashing’ in front of the kids while co-parenting

CHRISTINE McGuinness, 36, has opened up about the key rule she and Paddy, 51, swear by to avoid “clashing”.

The pair share three autistic children and, as they still live in the same family home, spent Christmas there alone as a family.

Former model Christine, who also has autism, told OK!: “It was as normal as possible because our priority will always be the children.

“We still share our home and together or apart, we’ll always try and keep Christmas familiar for the children, because it’s all about them.”

The pair, who share twins Penelope and Leo, 11, and daughter Felicity, eight, also have a kitchen feature that ensures no schedule “clashing”.

Christine continued: “We have a planner in the kitchen between me, Patrick and the children, with the dates of any events we’ve got.

“We put it on there and try not to clash with each other.

“It’s the same with family members coming over.

“We have to plan in advance to make sure no one’s clashing and there are not too many people around at once, because it just upsets the children.”

The couple parted ways in 2022 after being married for 15 years.

Christine admitted she will “never marry again” after going through a divorce, even though it was amicable.

After her high profile relationship came to a close, she told ITV’s Loose Woman panel that she was now looking for a more low key romance.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun about her love life at the Beauty Awards 2024, Christine said: “I’m just dating, I don’t want to do anything too serious, I’m just figuring out what works for me.

“I was single for a long time and I stayed on my own and I loved it and I loved having that time to myself.

“But I’m a woman, I want some company, I want to be around adults.

“I’m driving my car everyday singing nursery rhymes…that’s not okay.

“I need to get out and have some fun and be around adults, so that’s what I’ve done for the last few months. I’ve really really enjoyed it.

“But right now I’m not ready to enter into a relationship or anything.”
