Jaxon Smith-Njigba -2 Receptions vs Rome Odunze

I’m riding with Jaxon Smith-Njigba over Rome Odunze tonight. The second-year wideout has been on quite the roll lately, racking up 50 receptions in his last seven games, including 18 catches in his last two.

We’ve seen the Bears give up a lot of production to wideouts in recent weeks, including Jameson Williams (5 REC, 143 YDS, 1 TD), Justin Jefferson (7 REC, 71 YDS, 1 TD), and Jauan Jennings (7 REC, 90 YDS, 2 TD).

On the other side, Rome Odunze has been pretty inconsistent as a rookie. It’s clear that the former Washington Huskie is the third option behind DJ Moore and Keenan Allen. In fact, has two catches or fewer in two of his last four games.

When you consider how productive JSN has been lately, it’s hard to go against him vs Odunze.

DJ Moore +7 Receiving Yards vs DK Metcalf

DJ Moore has at least seven catches in five of his last six games. The Bears have gotten him more involved underneath, allowing Moore to have opportunities to rack up yards after the catch.

This has been a common trend since Chicago fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, who was using him more as a deep threat.

Since Waldron was relieved of his duties, Moore has a 7.0 average depth of target, which is much lower than the 9.5 number he had prior to that.

On the other side, DK Metcalf has been quite disappointing this season, putting up 60 yards or fewer in four of his last five games.

In fact, the veteran wideout hasn’t eclipsed 100 yards since Week 4.

While Metcalf is targeted more downfield, I’m still willing to take Moore +7 receiving yards due to the heavy usage he’s seen in recent weeks.
