CHARLOTTE (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) -- In the last home game of the 2024 season, the Panthers leave Bank of America Stadium with their fourth win of the season during a tense battle with the Cardinals during overtime.

The Panthers' defense got the game started forcing a quick three-and-out. Methodically, the Panthers marched down 70 yards in 15 plays in just about eight minutes for Chuba Hubbard to score a four-yard touchdown to go up 7-0.
The Cardinals got a field goal to start the second quarter, but Bryce Young responded with his legs. He had a scramble for 34 yards and then scrambled again a few plays later for a 23-yard touchdown. His 61 rush yards in the first half are already the most rush yards he's ever had in a game.

Bryce Young found Adam Theilen for an 8-yard score and then James Conner found the end zone for the Cardinals from six yards out. Carolina took a 20-17 lead into halftime after Arizona ended the half with another touchdown.
Panthers start the third quarter with a 29-yard field goal. Cardinals would make a 30-yard field goal after offensive lineman Jonah Williams gets injured during the eighth play in the drive. In the Panthers next drive, Young gets sacked at the 50, down 4 yards. Panthers end the drive with a 43-yard punt to the end zone. Carolina leads 23-20 heading into the fourth quarter.
Carolina kicks off the quarter going 58 yards in only six plays for an 18-yard touchdown by DJ Moore. Arizona makes their third touchdown with 6:56 left in the game, closing in on the gap between Carolina, 30-27.
Two more Panthers ruled out for an already stretched-thin D-LineCardinals' Kyler Murray passes deep right into the hands of Panthers' Demani Richardson. The drive ends with a punt, giving the Cardinals a chance to score. Arizona makes a field goal, sending the teams into OT.
Panthers work to push the Cardinals back, keeping them out of field goal range but Arizona continues to go for it. Following a sack by the Panthers, Hubbard puts the team in field goal range but they decide to go for the touchdown. Young passes to Hubbard who skips right into the endzone.
Carolina eliminated Arizona from playoff contention and secured its fourth win of the season. Four weeks after a close loss to them, the Panthers travel to Tampa for a rematch against the Buccanneers. The game starts at 1 p.m. on Dec. 29.
