I am a simple man who isn’t asking for much from the Chicago Bears at this stage of the season.
Their playoff hopes are dashed. And with that in mind, we have to focus on other things to keep it fresh around here. So here are three things I want to see from Chicago’s football team today:
1. Come out of this game healthy. The last thing we want to deal with is a lengthy injury report as we flip the page to next week. And since the Bears are playing on Thursday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks, we *REALLY* want no part of a long injury report. Get out of these last three games healthy and I’ll be a happy camper.
2. Caleb Williams makes some baller plays. On the field, the only thing that matters is player development. Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams’ growth is of the utmost importance. It would be swell to see Chicago’s QB1 put up some eye-popping numbers and finish the season on a high note. Want to reel in a hot head coach candidate? Show them that there is a real, honest-to-goodness franchise quarterback operating at a high level at the end of the year despite his surroundings.
3. One thing I’d like to see is at least one (1) takeaway from the defense. Frankly, I’d love to see two. But beggars can’t be choosers. And getting one feels like it would be a major accomplishment from a defense that has been reeling in recent weeks.
Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, let’s watch some football!
