Long before audiences knew Kieran Culkin as Roman Roy on HBO's Succession, he made his acting debut at age 7 as Fuller McCallister, the soda-swilling, bed-wetting cousin of central character Kevin McCallister, played by his brother, Macaulay Culkin in 1990's smash holiday hit, Home Alone.

Kieran reprised the role in the franchise's second film, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York after appearing in another '90s classic, Father of the Bride. He transitioned out of child stardom with 2002's Igby Goes Down, a performance that earned him a Golden Globe nomination. While he didn't win then, he did take the prize at 2024's Golden Globes, when he was recognized for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series – Drama for his work on Succession.

Most recently, he stars in A Real Pain alongside Jesse Eisenberg, who wrote, directed and produced the film. The pair portray relatives who reunite for a tour of Poland following the death of their grandmother. Culkin received a Virtuoso Award from the Savannah College of Art & Design's 27th annual SCAD Savannah Film Festival following a screening of the movie there in October.
Parade caught up with Culkin at the festival, where he divulged whether he'll have any at-home screenings of Home Alone this upcoming holiday season, as many of us do.
In short, all signs point to yes.
“I used to watch it every year but now I tend to give it like, a break," Culkin says. "I don’t think I watched it last year ... so probably this year. Last year, I did Die Hard. My new favorite Christmas movie is The Night Before … Remember that one? No? It’s a good movie.”

The Night Before is a 2015 comedy starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, Jillian Bell and Anthony Mackie and centers on three lifelong friends scouring New York for the best Christmas party on Christmas Eve. Other familiar faces you'll see in this one include Tracy Morgan, Miley Cyrus, Mindy Kaling, Michael Shannon, James Franco and Lizzy Caplan.
