I think it’s safe to say Nikola Vucevic has seen the recent trade rumors!

The Chicago Bulls have been one of the most talked about teams in the NBA this season. Beginning a youth movement that saw the departure of DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso this offseason, the organization is expected to take any and all calls on their remaining veterans. To be sure, the market has been a tad slow to develop thus far, but one report this week may have finally gotten the ball rolling.

Zach LaVine was linked to the Denver Nuggets, who reportedly have a “significant” interest in the two-time All-Star. While a deal is far from imminent, the rumor has grabbed the attention of plenty around the league, including his teammate.

During their road trip to Boston, team members went to a viewing of Gladiator II. Vucevic took to X to ask his followers what they thought of the film, only for one user to comeback with with a seemingly snarky comment saying he should watch the movie in Denver. Vucevic replied with even more snark, saying “you’re thinking about Zach, this is not him.”

For what it’s worth, this isn’t the first time Vucevic has taken to social media to joke about trade rumors. Back in 2022 when the big man was thrown into some Rudy Gobert trade rumors, he joked about being glad his offer for a house in Utah was rejected.

I’m honestly glad Vucevic can keep things light. While it’s easy for us on the outside to drool over trade talk, I have to imagine it is pretty darn stressful for the players involved. Even if a change of scenery might be best for players like LaVine and Vucevic, we are still talking about a life-changing move. This is why you have to give both Bulls veterans a lot of credit for the way they’ve handled things thus far.
