Oleksandr Usyk hilariously interrupts talkSPORT show with amusing comment before Tyson Fury rematch

Oleksandr Usyk popped up during a talkSPORT interview with Gareth A Davies and Spencer Oliver as his sequel with Tyson Fury approaches.

The Ukrainian is preparing to step in the ring for a second time with British heavyweight Fury in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this weekend.

Usyk got the better of the ‘Gypsy King’ with a sensational performance to edge a split decision in a thrilling encounter in mAY.

He has already travelled to the Middle East with fight week media festivities underway, as he appeared at Tuesday’s grand arrivals.

And while talkSPORT pundits Oliver and Davies were on air, Usyk was escorted past with his entourage.

When walking through the camera shot, he showed off a magnificent robe, featuring an image of a tiger.

Usyk was then quickly asked what animal was on the robe, to which he comically replied: “Maybe tiger, maybe cat. Yeah I think so.”

He then had a beaming grin, and greeted the pair before being moved on.

The 37-year-old has emerged as a hugely popular figure in the sport in recent years, since his remarkable rise to the pinnacle of the heavyweight division.

He is quick-witted and has been keen to play mind games with his rival during the build-up so far, including getting him to sign a photo of their previous showdown.

Fury showed animosity to Usyk in the stages before their first meeting, but has been more reserved and respectful this time around.

Although he has regularly vowed that he will get his revenge, and overturn the first stain on his previous perfect record.

And if he does, he expects a third fight to be in the pipeline, given it will then be one fight apiece.

He said: “The mission has never been undisputed. It’s never been my mission. It’s been other people’s missions.

“My mission is to smash this f***er’s face right in on Saturday night. There’s no chance he can beat me. None.

“I ain’t got a cut this time that I’m nursing. Yeah [I can spar], I can do everything now.

“I’ve never been as confident in my life of smashing a f***er’s face in than doing it to him on Saturday.

“Even at 36, when people think he’s f***ed, he will rise like a phoenix from the ashes. I’m going to destroy this f***er on Saturday night, you watch.

Usyk and Fury’s rivalry has been toned down but mind games are still presentGETTY

“Watch me go to work on Saturday night on him. You watch it. What I’m going to do to him, it’s going to be that bad of a beating on Saturday night, he ain’t going to want to have a trilogy.

“And I’m hoping there’s going to be a trilogy, because all great dance partners have trilogies. Facts. But what I’m going to do to him, he won’t want a trilogy.”
