Zach LaVine Might Not Be Going Anywhere

    What To Watch For

No Zach LaVine in the lineup tonight for Chicago which is unfortunate. He was questionable with a back issue earlier this morning but was ruled out this afternoon. While it’s a bummer we won’t get to see him play, it’s absolutely the correct move. Despite his fantastic play this season, the trade value still just isn’t quite there for LaVine and any injury that could cause him to miss serious time would only negatively impact that further. I’m interested to see who gets Zach’s spot in the lineup tonight. Patrick Williams is healthy again, but they’re easing him back into the lineup playing him lighter minutes. Julian Phillips has gotten a few starts and had a solid year. Billy Donovan’s trust in Matas Buzelis has only been growing. I’d like to see Buzelis get the start tonight and play a few extra minutes, but none of those names getting the nod would surprise me. While the Bulls are without LaVine, Toronto is even more injured. Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley are both out for extended periods of time. Bruce Brown is also still out though ramping back up toward a return. The Raptors entered the year already in more of a rebuild mode, but the injuries they’ve suffered as of late of only expedited that process. The Bulls Aren’t Going to Stop Chucking Up Threes Any Time Soon (WEEKLY PREVIEW)
