The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Cleveland Browns in Week 15 to add a thirteenth win to their near-perfect record and maintain a two-game lead in the race for the AFC’s No. 1 playoff seed.
Though the Cheifs were expected to steamroll the lowly Browns, Cleveland’s defenders put together a remarkable effort to limit Kansas City’s offense, led by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, to just 21 points in the game.
Mahomes suffered an ankle injury late in the fourth quarter, but he managed to make history with an outstanding two-touchdown performance that helped lift the Chiefs to a gritty road victory.
While Kansas City wasn’t able to achieve the blowout win that many fans had hoped for heading into Week 15, the Chiefs’ victory was hard-fought, and moved the team a step closer to a first-round bye and home field advantage in the playoffs.
