CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Traveling through the airport, let alone over Christmas, can be hectic. Add that to the stress those with reduced mobility undergo when they need a wheelchair to get to and from their gates. WHILL, a company that created personal mobility products, has contracted with Envoy, a subsidiary of American Airlines, to offer autonomous trips through terminals around the U.S. The company says it looks to offset an increase in demand for wheelchair services at airports.
