In 1979, two brothers who farmed cotton in the Mississippi delta received what they thought was an irresistible offer from Chevron Chemical Company. Edward and Louis Jackson of Cleveland, Mississippi were approached by a Prof. John Ouzts of Delta State University on behalf of Chevron.
