US official lauds Egypt’s “Golden Age” initiative

Marianne Nazzaro, the Deputy Assistant Secretary, Office of Public Housing Investments, US Department of Housing and Urban Development, lauded Egypt’s efforts in the file of social care and the integration of the most needy groups into society, particularly the elderly, commending the “Golden Age” initiative launched by the Social Solidarity Ministry. In statements to MENA on Tuesday, Nazzaro said that she participated in the 12th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF12) that was held from November 4 to 8 in Cairo, as a member of a US delegation, noting that sustainable community development and support for low-income families are a major priority in the United States.
