I-485 closed in Matthews after pedestrian struck and killed: Medic ...Middle East

MATTHEWS (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A person has been killed after being hit by a car in southeast Charlotte, according to Medic. Officials reported the incident around 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday on I-485 outer near East John Street (Exit 52) in Matthews. NCDOT says the roadway to be closed for several hours while crews investigate the scene. Police have not said what caused the incident or if anyone is being charged. This is a Developing Story.
