CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A former track and cross country coach at a Charlotte private school has been arrested for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a runner, according to police. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reported that on Nov. 8, an adult victim reported to officers that while as a high school student she was in the relationship with her coach, Matthew Elliott. CMPD alerting Hispanic residents of armed juvenile robberies in south Charlotte Officers say the victim told them that Elliott, now 39, began initially flirting with her and made “numerous advances” and that they had an inappropriate relationship. CMPD detectives report
