POLKTON, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Polkton Police Department is searching for several individuals who allegedly shot at police near South Piedmont Community College. Around 10 p.m. on Friday, an officer with the Polkton Police Department received a suspicious person call in the area of the Wyndsor Down Apartments. While en route, the officer spotted several individuals walking through the small wooded area at the entrance of South Piedmont Community College.
