India emerged victorious against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024, showcasing their dominance and skill in the game of cricket. The highly anticipated match drew in fans from both countries, creating an atmosphere of excitement and tension.
The Indian team displayed exceptional teamwork and strategy throughout the match, with standout performances from key players such as Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah. Their cohesive efforts on the field allowed them to outplay their opponents and secure a convincing win.
The Indian men’s cricket team scripted an incredible turnaround to beat arch-rivals Pakistan by six runs in its second ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Group A match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday.
Sent in to bat first by Pakistan, India struggled and were bundled out for just 119 in 19 overs. Only Rishabh Pant, with 42 off 31, managed to put up some sort of resistance as Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf scalped three wickets each.
Chasing a low total, Pakistan seemed to be in the driver’s seat right until the 15th over before some sensational death bowling from India restricted them to 113. This was the lowest total ever defended by India in a T20I match.
At Shahi Palace Restaurant & Steak House, Pakistani cricket fans gathered to watch the game being played in Nassau County, New York. Sanaa Hameed traveled from Cliffside park for their viewing party.
“I didn't make it there to watch it live in the stadium, but it's nice that a lot of the restaurants in the area are doing this because it's more fun to watch it with fans and everyone together," said Hameed.
Business owners say it only made sense to show their support and host watch parties so people can get together and cheer on their team.
The Indian men’s cricket team is going to play the United States in its next Group A T20 World Cup match at the same venue on Wednesday.
