Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched 15 online services of the Department of Fisheries and Livestock Development through video conferencing. An agreement was also signed with various entrepreneurs for Cage Culture in the Hirakud Reservoir by the fisheries department. Boat registration and licensing, registration of saltwater fish farming, etc can be availed through the online system . The initiative is expected to increase the state’s annual fish production by 1.24 tonnes.
