The UNC men’s and women’s lacrosse teams both fell on Saturday, with the men dropping a close home contest to No. 6 Army and the women’s team falling on the road at No. 4 Boston College. The men’s team lost 13-12 despite holding a 7-5 halftime lead and a 10-9 lead heading into the fourth quarter. The Black Knights scored three goals in the span of 3:01 to open the fourth, taking their first lead of the game at 12-10. Carolina rallied to tie the score at 12-12 with 5:29 left, but Army went back ahead for good on a goal with 52 seconds left. Carolina didn’t get another shot off in the final minute.
