Bhubaneswar: In a major decision that will benefit more than twelve thousand Ganasikhyakas of the state, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has ordered for promotion of the teachers who have passed OTET to be Ex-cadre Assistant teachers. Likewise, the Chief Minister has ordered hike in the pay of Ganasikhyaks who have not passed OTET from Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000. The services of Gana Sikhyaks who have cleared OTET will be regularized. It is worth noting that during the visit of 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian to various districts for grievance hearing, the Ganasikhyakas had requested and given proposals for the same.
