Now, the company has clarified the extent of the shutdown, which has left entire states without access to the Australian-themed chain. Bloomin’ Brands withdrew its chains from some areas, leaving whole states uncovered Bloomin’ Brands CEO David Deno said the company has closed 41 “underperforming” restaurant locations in a call to investors on Friday. The shutdowns are not just impacting Outback, as Bloomin’ also owns Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, and Fleming’s.
