Celtics embarrass Heat 143-110

The Celtics' recent victory over the Heat, with a staggering score of 143-110, has left basketball fans in awe. This game will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the most embarrassing defeats for the Heat in recent memory. The Celtics displayed exceptional teamwork and skill throughout the match, leaving their opponents struggling to keep up.

From the opening tip-off, it was clear that the Celtics were determined to dominate every aspect of the game. Their offense was relentless, with players like Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown consistently finding ways to penetrate Miami's defense and score at will. The Celtics' three-point shooting was also on fire, with Marcus Smart and Kemba Walker sinking shots from beyond the arc with ease.

Jayson Tatum scored 26 points, Kristaps Porzingis had 19 before spraining his left ankle and the Celtics made 22 3-pointers on the way to routing the reeling Heat 143-110 on Thursday night, sending Miami to its fifth straight loss.

"This game was really good, but it means nothing at all in the grand scheme of things if we don't take the lessons that we need to and apply it to the next game," Mazzulla said. "So, we'll enjoy it until we get to the plane and then it's on to the next one."

There was much to enjoy. The 143 points were the most Boston ever scored against Miami, and the 33-point margin represented Boston's most-lopsided win over Miami in 172 meetings between the franchises, including playoffs. The Celtics shot 64% and won the rebound battle 47-31.

Asked by the media after the game if the drubbing of the Heat was the best that Boston had played so far this season, Mazzulla replied via CLNS Media, “I don’t know if it’s the best we’ve played, but I think it’s the most intentional we’ve played.”

“This game was really good, but it means nothing in the grand scheme of things if we don’t take the lessons that we need to and apply them to the next game,” added the Celtics coach.

He leaped to contest a shot by Miami's Bam Adebayo with 7:12 left in the third and landed on Adebayo's foot. Porzingis fell to the floor and grabbed at his ankle. He remained down for a few seconds before getting up and limping toward the Celtics' bench.

Jayson Tatum made a 3-pointer, even with the Celtics playing 4-on-5 for that possession, and Porzingis left the game when time was called.

Porzingis entered Thursday averaging 19.5 points and 6.8 rebounds this season for the NBA-leading Celtics. Boston went on to rout Miami, 143-110.
