Free parking in Abu Dhabi to mark Hijri New Year

Abu Dhabi: Public parking in Abu Dhabi will be free on Sunday, August 23 to mark the start of the Hijri New Year, the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) announced on Wednesday. The free parking period will extend till 7:59AM on Monday, August 24. Abu Dhabi’s public transport regulator has urged motorists to avoid parking in non-designated areas. Meanwhile, public bus schedules in the emirate will maintained on Sunday, according to the schedule designated for Fridays, the ITC added.
