Islamabad: Pakistani leaders took to Twitter to congratulate Joe Biden after he was declared winner of the US presidency and expressed hope to strengthen bilateral relations and peace in the region. Prime Minister Imran Khan was among the first world leaders to congratulate the US president-elect. Congratulating the United States President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, Pakistani premier said that he looked forward to “Biden’s Global Summit on Democracy and working with him to end illegal tax havens and stealth of nation’s wealth by corrupt ldrs [leaders].” “We will also continue to work with US for peace in Afghanistan and in the region,” PM Khan added in his tweet
