Krispy Kreme is giving away free dozens of doughnuts for World Kindness Day.
The first 500 customers at each location can receive a free dozen of glazed doughnuts - no purchase necessary.
“World Kindness Day is an opportunity to make a positive difference by being generous – from paying it forward to meaningfully connecting with each other. Simple gestures of caring and thanks, including sharing a sweet treat, is a great way to do that,” said Dave Skena, global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme.
The North Carolina-based chain said it hopes the free doughnuts will lead to "millions of small acts of kindness.”

The company said some of Krispy Kreme's international locations will also have promotions for World Kindness Day on Monday.
Only the first 500 guests visiting Krispy Kreme shops in the United States will get the sweet promotion and walk away with a dozen Original Glazed Donuts for free, no purchase necessary, “to inspire and enable kindness to others.”
Customers are encouraged to not only share the donuts, but to share the kindness by using #KrispyKreme and tagging @krispykreme on social media, according to a press release.
