ROSSFORD – City council has amended its zoning map to allow for property to be once again used as a church. At its Oct. 9 meeting, members unanimously approved zoning for Shree Swaminarayan Temple Cultural Center & Community Hall, 738 Glenwood Road. According to Administrator Allyson Murray, the Bulgarian Orthodox Church of St. George had requested the property be rezoned commercial to allow it to be sold and used as a multi-purpose event center. When those plans fell through, the property was sold and is being used as a Hindu temple and cultural center. The rezoning map shows the property reverting from commercial back to church use.
