Le Kényan Paul Gicheru s’est livré aux autorités néerlandaises alors qu’il est recherché depuis mars 2015 par la CPI, qui siège justement aux Pays-Bas. Cet avocat était notamment accusé par la Cour de subornation de témoins à l’époque où l’actuel vice-président kényan, William Ruto, était poursuivi pour crimes contre l’humanité suite aux violences électorales de 2007-2008. Le bureau du procureur avait abandonné ses charges mais le mandat d’arrêt contre Paul Gicheru courait toujours.
