Ohio EPA discontinues statewide air quality advisory
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Due to improved air quality conditions throughout the state, Ohio EPA has canceled the statewide Air Quality Advisory. Smoke from Canadian wildfires is now having less of an impact throughout the state. The most recent statewide advisory expired at end of day, Monday. Particulate levels may remain elevated in isolated areas today, resulting in some local air agencies and metropolitan planning organizations issuing localized advisories. At 9:45 this morning, Bowling Green, Perrysburg and North Baltimore all had “good” air quality of 25. Sunday and Monday had levels of “unhealthy” at 150 and higher.
