This plaque on Broadway commemorates the 1931 ticker tape parade for Pierre Laval. Manhattan borough president Mark Levine wants it removed, along with one other for Phillipe Pétain, because the pair later collaborated with the Nazis. In 2004, plaques were installed to commemorate honorees of each Canyon of Heroes ticker tape parade — including two Nazis. [ more › ]
