Qatar's population neared the 3mn mark at the end of September, according to data published on the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA)'s website. A total population of 2,985,029 was recorded in September 2022, the highest ever in Qatar, PSA data revealed. This marked a monthly increase of 1.6% over August 2022, when Qatar had a population of 2,937,800, and an annual rise of 13.23% over September 2021, when the corresponding figure was 2,636,078. Of the total population of 2,985,029 in September, 2,167,885 were males and 817,144 females.
