On August 31, 2021, a Supreme Court bench of justices DY Chandrachud and MR Shah upheld a 2014 ruling of the Al - lahabad high court to demolish the Supertech twin towers in the Emerald Court compound in Sector 93A of Noida. The judgment set in motion the long and daunting process that will see the towers being imploded on Sunday, just three days short of a year since the top court pronounced its verdict.
