Dramaturge, comédien, metteur en scène et directeur du Festival d’Avignon, Olivier Py a marqué l’histoire du théâtre en France. Né en 1965 à Grasse, dans une famille qui a dû quitter précipitamment l’Algérie en 1962, il s’est formé au théâtre et à la… théologie. Après le Centre dramatique national d’Orléans et le Théâtre de l’Odéon à Paris, il a dirigé de 2014 à 2022 le plus grand festival de théâtre au monde et y a présenté sa nouvelle pièce, « Ma jeunesse exaltée ».
