Gammon to build seven towers in HK$6bn win

UK-headquartered contractor Balfour Beatty yesterday said its 50:50 joint venture, Gammon, had secured two big projects together worth HK$6.1bn (US$780m) for two new government buildings and five residential towers in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The HK$2.7bn Kwun Tong Composite Development, commissioned by the Architectural Services Department, commits Gammon to design and build a 25-storey building to house a new college and a nine-storey building for community and welfare amenities. Gammon will use offsite, precast methods as well as its digital solution, known as ‘Stamp’, for project management, material delivery and installation.
