The long marriage of Joanne and Abe Gustin came to an end in 1990, some 33 years after they were married in May, 1957. It was not, however, a typical divorce case, owing both to some interesting facts about the couple set forth in the court’s decision, and one particular incident that the trial judge had used as a basis for the decision.
