BCCI trims allowance to Rs 10,000 a day, employees to get 300 USD overseas

As per a PTI report, BCCI have revised a policy for allowances to BCCI staff across all departments. The Indian cricket board is yet to clear dues since January and they will be done in accordance with the amendment. The existing policy paid the employees per diem Rs 15,000 for short term travel, with Rs 10,000 for long term. The same applies for travel in line with the IPL, WPL and ICC events hosted by India. A one time incidental payment was set at Rs 7500.

Now, the revised policy has set a flat 10,000 price per day for their travel. As per the PTI report, a BCCI source said the employees received Rs 6500 per day after TDS (Tax deduction at source). The Indian cricket board had not paid dues to their finance, operations and media department for the WPL and IPL 2025 season. Now that the policy is formulated, the dues should be fulfilled soon.

“A clear cut policy was needed in terms of allowances as some employees were claiming allowances even when they were operating out of the Mumbai headquarters during tournaments. Now that it has been devised, the dues will be cleared soon,” the source told PTI.
