The IPL 2025 was suspended after the Punjab Kings versus Delhi Capitals match in Dharamsala was stopped midway due to security reasons. But now reports suggest that the BCCI could announce the updated schedule for the remaining IPL 2025 games as early as Sunday evening (May 11).

IPL 2025 Playoffs to stay in Hyderabad and Kolkata, final likely to shift to Ahmedabad
While the Indian Premier League 2025 restart will slightly change the schedule, the playoff venues remain the same, as Hyderabad will host Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator, while Kolkata will host Qualifier 2 which was initially set to host the final.
Ahmedabad is also being considered due to its larger seating capacity, which is about 30,000 more than Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

'Ricky Ponting has convinced them to stay back'
Marcus Stoinis, Aaron Hardie, Josh Inglis, and Xavier Bartlett have all stayed back in India. Among the overseas players, Marco Jansen was the only one who left, but he hasn’t gone far. Actually, he is currently in Dubai and can easily return when Punjab Kings’ next game is confirmed once the new schedule is released by the BCCI.
The source was quoted as saying by PTI, “The foreign players are not used to something like this (war-like situation). So, it was natural for them to feel anxious. Led by Stoinis, they all wanted to leave at the earliest, and understandably so. But Ponting has convinced them to stay back post-ceasefire, which I think is remarkable.”
