Despite performing well in the earlier seasons for MI, Kishan was released in the mega auction in the franchise, after which, many franchises made a bid for this star, but in the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to buy him for Rs 11.25 crore.
MI’s dominant performance in Wankhede
On the field, Mumbai Indians delivered an amazing performance to secure their third win of the IPL season. SRH batted first and scored 162 runs, in return, while chasing the target of 163 runs, MI comfortably reached the goal in 18.1 overs. The main contributions came from Will Jacks (36 off 26), Suryakumar Yadav (26 off 15), and Tilak Varma (21*) in the match.
Earlier, MI’s disciplined bowling attack, led by Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, and Will Jacks, restricted SRH to 162 for 5. Despite Heinrich Klaasen’s 37 and Aniket Verma’s late-innings fireworks for SRH, Mumbai’s control over the game and execution guarunteed a win for them.
