While Rajat Patidar and co. stand a strong chance of qualifying for IPL 2025 playoffs, they are racing against time to cement their position in the top four. With LSG and KKR closing in on RCB on the points table, time is running out for Kohli & co. to ensure they face no last-minute hurdles in finishing in the top four comfortably.

RCB’s track record in IPL 2025

RCB have managed to win four out seven matches played so far in IPL 2025. It is pertinent to point out that all their four wins have come in away games. The side defeated CSK in Chennai, RR in Jaipur, MI in Mumbai and KKR in Kolkata. However, they lost their home games to DC, PBKS and GT.

While RCB have tasted success against the teams placed in the bottom half of the table as of April 19, they have failed to defeat the top three teams.

Wins: KKR (6th), CSK (10th), MI (7th), RR (8th)

Losses: GT (2nd), DC(1st), PBKS (3rd)

Playoffs qualification scenario for Patidar & co

In order to make it to the IPL 2025 playoffs without any hassles, RCB will have to win 4 out of the remaining seven matches. Normally, 16 points is required for a team to be guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.

Patidar and co. will also have to maintain a healthy net run-rate, given that the factor has played a crucial role in the previous seasons in determining who makes it to the final four. Besides, as mentioned before, RCB find themselves in a perilous position simply because LSG, KKR are not too far behind them on the points table and could soon push RCB out of the top four with just one win.

Remaining matchesHome: RR (April 24), CSK (May 3), SRH (May 13), KKR (May 17)Away: PBKS (April 20), DC (April 27), LSG (May 9)
