Could 'Fire Country' Have a Crossover With 'Tracker'? Max Thieriot Says ... ...0

Fire Country and Tracker are two of CBS hit shows — but is there a chance they could join forces on screen with a crossover episode?

During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, star and executive producer Max Thieriot didn’t rule out crossing paths as Bode with Justin Hartley‘s Colter, saying, “For sure. That could be fun. We haven’t had any of those conversations, but I get that.”

Thieriot, 36, pointed out that there’s already a connection through the Supernatural universe. Earlier this season on Fire Country, Jared Padalecki made a guest appearance, which came at the same time as his former costar Jensen Ackles reprised his role as Russell on Tracker.

“We should get the supernatural trifecta,” Thieriot joked. “We’ll get Misha [Collins]. I don’t know Misha, but I know Jared and Jensen.”

He added: “They’re not far from us [on CBS], so it wouldn’t be too hard to do logistically in person. But there’s a lot of people way above my pay grade that make a lot of those decisions. But I think it would be fun.”

Fire Country, which premiered in 2022, follows Bode (Thieriot) as he gets a chance to shorten his prison sentence by volunteering for the California Conservation Camp Program. Three seasons in, Fire Country has featured cameos from country stars such as Kane Brown and Jelly Roll.

“[Jelly Roll] was finishing drying his hands with a towel in the bathroom at the CMTs [in April 2024]. I ran into him in the bathroom straight up at the CMT Music Awards,” Thieriot recalled about how he got Jelly Roll, 40, involved. “I said, ‘Thank you for letting us have some of your songs on the show.’ And he’s like, ‘Dude, how do I get on the show? I’ve been petitioning online and talking to my people and you got to get me on that show.'”

Thieriot doesn’t have more country crooners lined up yet, but he would be thrilled to have more familiar musical faces. “I have to wait for the next awards show, and I’m just going to set up a chair in the bathroom to start greeting them as they come in,” he quipped. “But there’s a few that we’ve been talking with for a while now. Honestly, it would be fun to maybe see both [Kane and Jelly Roll] bring their characters back in some form.”

Meanwhile, over on Tracker, the series stars Hartley, 48, as a survivalist named Colter who travels the country helping people and law enforcement tackle a variety of mysteries. Among the most memorable additions to the show so far included Hartley’s wife, Sofia Pernas, Melissa Roxburgh, Ackles and Jennifer Morrison.

While fans wait for a Fire Country crossover with another CBS series, the firefighter show is focused on expanding the universe with the Sheriff Country spinoff. The most recent episode on Friday, April 4, brought back Sharon’s (Diane Farr) stepsister Mickey (Morena Baccarin) to offer another glimpse into her world before the show’s fall premiere.

“We get to see a lot more of her world and what her job is going to look like. There’s more texture of the underbelly of Edgewater and what it’s like to be a sheriff in this town. Obviously, we get to meet her dad, which is pretty exciting,” the actor teased. “He’s such a character. He kind of gives you all the feels when you meet him. You’re not sure what to think. But you get to see a little bit of his charm, which is a side that Mickey also has. But he is also very different from Mickey in many, many ways.”

Fire Country airs on CBS Fridays at 9 p.m. ET.
