Tarek and Haack, who is the mother of his two eldest children Taylor and Brayden, finalized their divorce in 2018. Tarek and Heather Rae married in 2021. During an April 2025 interview with Page Six's Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, Tarek explained why he and Heather Rae decided to start going to couples therapy in late 2024. According to Tarek, their close friend and his wife, who have a successful relationship, revealed they attend "couples therapy every week."
"We really took that advice, and it's amazing how much stronger a bond can be when you're in a room with a professional. That's helping guide you through some very difficult decisions," said Tarek during the interview.
