Yosemite was placed under an updated winter storm warning by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 5:04 a.m. The warning is in effect until 11 p.m.
The NWS Hanford CA adds to be ready for, “Additional snow accumulations between 6 and 18 inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.”
“Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches,” according to the NWS. “If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.”
