The 33-year-old singer-songwriter’s performance was captured on video in full. It began with a view of Andress from behind as she stood on the ice, a microphone clutched in her right hand as she sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” to a packed crowd at Ball Arena ahead of the Colorado Avalanche’s home game against the Minnesota Wild on Friday, Feb. 28. When she hit a high note, many people in the audience could be heard cheering—and some even started to sing along.
After Andress brought the song to an end, she was filmed walking off the ice with a huge smile on her face. She shrieked in excitement as she received words of congratulations from some of the people who were there to support her.
Several of the singer’s fans applauded her efforts in the post’s comment section as they celebrated her return.
“Redemption shot! Love it! Welcome back,” another fan commented.
